This is not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, change a booking record, or obtain an official file. Contact the appropriate Sheriff, police, corrections, or court office directly.
Current County Custody and Records
The Sevier County Sheriff inmate roster is the official first check for a person in current county custody. For a booking record, photo request, warrants question, or record-custody question, use the Records & Warrants Division and ask for its current instructions.
Sevier County Sheriff’s Office
106 W. Bruce Street
Sevierville, TN 37862
Public phone: (865) 453-4668
The Sheriff identifies the county jail at 137 Commerce Street, Sevierville, TN 37862, and the Jail Annex at 896 Old Knoxville Highway, Sevierville, TN 37862. The research did not locate published Records & Warrants office hours, a dedicated booking-photo form, a fixed fee, or a guaranteed response time. Call the public line and ask for the current process before visiting or sending a request.
City Police Record Requests
Ask the arresting city police department for the incident or arrest record it maintains. A city report and a county-jail booking record are not automatically held by the same custodian. Use the Sheriff roster for current county custody after a city arrest, then confirm the specific facility and agency.
- Sevierville Police Records: 300 Gary Wade Boulevard, Sevierville, TN 37862; (865) 453-7310. Its Records Division page says incident and accident reports are generally available within three to five business days and routine copies are generally free.
- Pigeon Forge Police Department: 3225 Rena Street, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863; (865) 453-9063. Request its arrest or incident record through the department Records Division.
- Gatlinburg Police Department: 1230 East Parkway, Gatlinburg, TN 37738; records and administration (865) 436-1421; dispatch (865) 436-5181. The official page lists public records, court, and administration hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays.
Court, State, and Federal Questions
For the case after booking, begin with the court that holds the docket. Sevier General Sessions Clerk Penny Johnson is listed at 127 Commerce Street, Room 1103, Sevierville, TN 37862, (865) 453-6116. The Circuit Court Clerk is listed at 125 Court Square, Suite 207E, Sevierville, TN 37862, (865) 453-5536. A clerk can identify the court-side record, but a docket check is not a current-custody confirmation.
For a sentenced felony offender in state custody or supervision, use the TDOC FOIL search. For federal custody use the BOP inmate locator; immigration detention has a separate official ICE locator. These systems do not replace the Sevier County roster.
Tips and Emergencies
For an emergency, call 911. The Sheriff’s Submit a Tip form is for non-emergency information. East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers lists an anonymous hotline at (877) 363-8847 and text ETTIPS to 738477. Neither is a route for a release question, a records correction, or legal advice.
